Sawtooth Landfill

Sawtooth Landfill reopened after being closed for over two years. Republic Services purchased Sawtooth in 2025 and immediately began remediation of the landfill. Serving businesses and municipalities throughout Boise and the surrounding area, the landfill receives approximately 1,000 tons of waste per day, or more than 272,000 tons annually. Located on the SE side, 31 miles outside of Boise, Sawtooth is compliance-driven, safe, and is positioned to enable the County to grow and prosper by providing safe and environmentally responsible waste disposal services.
